Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl

Glazed teriyaki chicken over rice with steamed greens — high-protein and satisfying.

Method

  1. Mix the sauce

    Mix the soy sauce, mirin, honey and garlic clove, grated for the sauce.

  2. Cook the chicken

    Pan-fry the chicken breast, sliced in the oil until cooked through.

  3. Glaze

    Add the sauce and let it reduce to a glossy glaze coating the chicken.

  4. Serve

    Serve over the cooked rice with the steamed steamed broccoli or pak choi.

Notes

Around 560 kcal and 45g protein. Naturally lactose-free. Cook the chicken through first, then add the sauce to glaze at the end so it doesn't burn. Slicing the chicken thinner gives more surface for the glaze. If the glaze tightens too far, loosen with a splash of water. NOTE: you found 2 tbsp soy a touch salty elsewhere — consider 1.5 tbsp.
